Resort
Aqualuz Troia is made up of three separate
suite hotels. The Troiamar and Troiario are linked by a
central section comprising the lobby area, restaurant, bar,
lounge areas and Wellness Centre which are common to both
hotels, as are the very large outdoor pool and children's
pool.
The
Troialagoa is set further back along the peninsula, about a
3-minute walk from the Troiamar and the Troiario and the
beach and overlooking the lagoon within the peninsula, so a
good location for bird watchers and nature lovers

Troia is located between the Sado Estuary
Nature Reserve and the Arrabida National Park. This is an
area of sand dunes and pines and long, white sand Atlantic
beaches - some of the finest in Portugal - where even in
August you can be on your own
Troia has
important archaeological sites, dating from Roman times when
the peninsula was, in fact, an island called Acala. Across
the estuary lies the city of Setubal and a passenger and car
ferry criss-crosses the estuary to link the peninsula with
the city. It is easy to take the ferry, often seeing the
resident dolphins en route, and spend the day wandering
around Setubal and eating in one of the many harbour-front
fish restaurants. The peninsula also boasts the Troiagolf
Championship Course, one of the best golf courses in
Portugal, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr
